In early October 2013, the Vietnam Institute of Archeology cooperated with Ha Giang Provincial Museum to conduct excavation of Son Can Ty archaeological site, in Can Can Village, Can Ty commune, Quan Ba ​​district and discovered the sign prehistoric people belonging to the Paleolithic period in Vietnam.

Through an overall study of archaeological relics, experts of Vietnam Institute of Archeology have argued that the Sieu Can Ty site is a residence of prehistoric people.
