Poul Pedersen, Danish archaeologist, and assistant John Lund at the University of Southern Denmark, are partnering with the Mediterranean National Institute of Funds (MCAF) to rebuild the Tomb , the Hurriyet Daily News yesterday. January 12 reported. This is one of the two main objectives of the Danish project Halikarnassos . The larger goal of the project is to restore the remains of the ancient city of Halicarnassus.

"When architecture is restored, there will be at least two of the wonders of the ancient world appear in modern times," said Ozay Kartal, the head of the MCAF.

The project also includes digging a number of locations along the route from the port city of Bodrum to the Tomb, excavating an ancient wall surrounding Bodrum and a racecourse dating back to 3,500 years.
