With a traditional razor, the blade is attached to the handle so it is often worn or chipped after 1.5-2 months of use. Then, it must be brought to the forge to forge again. The recovery time of the knife takes more than 1 week and affects the progress of rubber tapping. Stemming from the above reality, engineer Thanh has built a rubber-lined rubber razor. When worn, or batched during work, the shaver will replace with a new blade. Tongue replacement is done with a simple screwdriver with two screw screws. The price of a blade is about VND 20,000.
Currently this assembled razor is applied by many units and farmers. According to Pham Hai, a smallholder rubber farmer in Lai Uyen commune, Ben Cat district, Binh Duong province, thanks to this new type of knife, higher productivity, thanks to the design of the blade makes it easy to manipulate and less neck strain, shoulder fatigue. The National Office of Intellectual Property issued a useful solution for the type of razor mentioned above.
