Ships Progress M-04M successfully assembled with ISS
The space flight control center in Moscow, Russia, said more than two days after being launched into orbit, at 4:26 GMT GMT on February 5, the M-04M Progress Transport vessel Russia has successfully assembled with the International Space Station (ISS).
The Progress ship M-04M was launched from Baikonur Space Center in Kazakhstan on February 3 by Soyuz boosters. About 9 minutes after the launch of the M-04M was removed from the rocket and began to fly automatically.
The Progress ship M-04M carries about 2.5 tons of goods including food, domestic water, fuel and scientific equipment for 6 Russian, American and Japanese astronauts working on ISS.
In addition, the Progress M-04M vessel is also used to adjust the trajectory of ISS and conduct scientific experiments. This is the new generation M-04M, which should be lighter in weight and equipped with a modern digital control system, which facilitates the assembly with ISS.
