Russia: Diagnose the disease through the veins in the hand

Russian scientists are studying the method of diagnosing the disease through the veins at hand. The basis of this method is the scientific knowledge of fingerprint biometrics (dermatoglyphics).

According to scientists, fingerprints form when the fetus is in the womb, in the fourth month of pregnancy and never change. The only way to remove fingerprints is to remove the skin from the finger. The foundation of Russia's fingerprint biometrics industry is the anthropologist Mikhail Volotsky. He proved that it is possible to classify people according to flower patterns on the fingertips.

Since then, researchers have done classification of data and found that people with similar pattern on their hands are more likely to suffer from the same diseases. The match of the three data on gender, disease and age, allows the conclusion that this person has the same disease as the patient in the database. Doctors have since had an opportunity to better identify the direction of treatment.

This is the method of diagnosis that is being studied by scientists from Rostov city in the East River, in southern Russia. They look for signs of different diseases, thereby determining which fingerprints will signal the specific disease.

They found fingerprints related to psoriasis, stomach ulcers and cirrhosis, children with down syndrome and other congenital diseases. The group of scientists said that although they did not provide a full diagnosis, this method helps doctors to detect pathology early in the early stages.
