Russia is about to launch 4 US satellites

Moscow is preparing to launch US Globalstar information satellites from the space center in Kazakhstan later this month. Globalstar is a low orbit flight information (LEO) manufactured by Loral Qualcomm, providing high quality voice and data transmission services for North America and 120 countries around the world.

"Four Globalstar satellites were included in the final installation phase," the Russian Federal Space Agency said. Russia will use the Soyuz-FG rocket to bring satellites into orbit, starting from Baikonur space airport on Sunday.

The competition in the commercial satellite launch industry in the world is growing strongly since the first Chinese launch of satellite launch service for another country on May 14. In addition to the giants like Russia, the US and Europe, India is also emerging as a cheap new service provider.
