On November 25, 2011, Russia's Proton-M rocket launched China's "AsiaSat-7" communications satellite into space at the Baikomur Space Center in Kazakhstan.

Proton-M rocket carrying satellite launched into space at 23h10 (Moscow Time), it is expected that the satellite will be separated from missiles at 823 (Moscow Time) on November 26, 2011.
AsiaSat-7 satellite is from Asia Telecommunications Company Limited (Asiasat) based in Hong Kong. This is a new generation satellite designed to replace the active AsiaSat 3S at 105.5 degrees east in Earth's orbit.
The new satellite will support a wide range of applications for the Asia-Pacific region, including television broadcasting and VSAT networks.
