Russia successfully tested the first atmospheric satellite
Russia has recently successfully tested the solar satellite using solar energy.
Sputnik on August 4 quoted Deputy General Director of Research Foundation Igor Denisov, said Russia's first atmospheric satellite "Sova" , has been successfully tested.
Newly tested "Sova" satellites will contribute to the development of activities in the Arctic.
In the future, this satellite will be used primarily to develop research and exploration activities in the Arctic and Siberia.
"This is one of the basic foundations for the development of key technologies. This new atmospheric satellite will run on solar energy. Russia is in the North so there are many places with very little sunlight. Because so satellites are designed to operate continuously in these areas including the Arctic, " Denisov said.
Denisov added that, under current conditions, people have a great opportunity to create atmospheric satellites that can fly continuously to the 70th parallel in the north.
He also put forward a plan in the near future of Russia to make a new 27-meter model of atmospheric satellite that can work outside the 70th parallel, where there is no sunshine but only night.
"The future of such devices is very interesting, especially if they will fly over uninhabited areas in North and Siberia," Denisov concluded.
