Russia yesterday successfully tested a combat robot capable of destroying tanks and destroying soldiers.
Russia successfully tested multifunctional combat robots
Russian combat robots equipped with anti-tank missile machine guns, artillery and rocket launchers destroyed all the hypothetical targets, including armored vehicles, at the farthest distance, RT said.
The experiment took place in the Rayevsky complex in Novorossiysk , attended by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Army Valery Gerasimov and several other senior military officials.
The robots belong to the Uranian multi-purpose battle line. They operate together, like a military unit , different from the previous single test and are controlled from the command center away from the field.
Russia's Defense Ministry last year confirmed its commitment to developing a robot and remote control system, contemplating replacing one-third of military military equipment by 2025. The agency will announce the size of its ongoing project. declared at the Army Arms Exhibition 2015 taking place in June.
