On the afternoon of July 26, the icebreaker ship Rossiya met the Akademik Fyodorov and the two continued their journey to the Josef Land Islands. Under the plan, the two ships will stop here to conduct training on diving down to a depth of 1.5 km under the sea along with the Mir submersible.

According to meteorologists in the port city of Murmansk, the weather at the training area is favorable for the expedition.
