The underground city will be built in Siberia.

According to a quote from TG Daily on November 17, 2010, a glass dome will be built on the city. The goal is to protect the urban underground from the very cold winter and very hot summers in Siberia.

This glass dome will be covered by a layer of photovoltaic cells. This coating is capable of storing solar energy in very large quantities.

Project developers estimate that the underground city can accommodate up to 100 thousand people. They will live in residential areas that are specifically designed for human habitation.

In addition to residential areas, there is also a floor built specifically for a farm, forest and recreation area.

The city will be implemented by AB Elise, an architectural firm of Moscow, named Eco-city 2020.
