These frightening death holes are believed to be caused by subsidence. According to experts, melting ice creates too strong currents that cause soil erosion below the roads in Samara. Residents of the city signed a petition together to the authorities asking for a solution.
The death pit is a common danger in mines and in the world where many miners are buried alive while doing so.
. heavy influence on people and people
The type of natural death pit takes up to thousands of years of diverse sizes. They are often the result of the Karst process, which occurs when a layer of rock such as limestone below the ground is released by acidic water.
First, rain seeps through the soil, absorbs carbon dioxide and reacts with decaying vegetation. As a result, dissolved water causes acidity. Acid water then erodes the layers of ground rock, causing gaps and collapsing into death craters. This phenomenon often happens unexpectedly.
Residents of the city of Berezniki (Russia) are also suffering from this danger. According to the census data, about 2,000 people left the city from 2005-2010 after many deathly pits appeared.
