Russian drug testing can help people live 120 years
Russian scientists are studying and testing a drug that works against the aging process, hoping to allow humans to live up to 120 years.

Moscow University scientists tested new formulas on rodent, fish and dog bodies. According to research results, it works to delay the onset of aging and cause some aging diseases to grow more slowly.
According to Dr. Maxim Skulachev, this drug was developed by "using a new type of antioxidant" , affecting mitochondria - the energy center or the place that converts organic matter into energy that cells have can use. Mitochondria are considered one of the factors affecting the aging process. Scientists once thought they were linked to heart attacks, Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's.
Express said the targeted research could allow people to live up to 120 years and the creation of an anti-aging drug is "technically possible" . Tests do not significantly increase people's lifespan, but delay the onset of aging.
"If those diseases develop more slowly, the idea of preventing aging by mitochondria is a right direction , " Skulachev said.
