Samsung launches new mobile memory chip
On December 27, Samsung Electronics announced that it has successfully produced a new type of mobile memory chips that are thinner and consume less energy than the existing memory chips.
The manufacturer said the 1Gigabit DRAM chip is the first mobile memory chip to be manufactured on an 80-nanometer technology line. The chip is 20% thinner and consumes 30% less energy than the existing 512MB chips.
Samsung believes that the new chip will be more efficient than existing mobile chips and it will be used in a wider range of mobile devices or consumer electronics devices such as digital cameras. numbers, portable music players or portable gaming devices.
