How to protect personal data in shared computers, against illegal access (reading, copying, deleting .)? The use of data encryption software may prevent some but sometimes there are strange files (due to encryption), others delete them. Please introduce to you two simple but effective ways to secure personal documents.

Lock files with File Anti-Copy

File Anti-Copy has the ability to lock file reading, copy / move files or even delete specified files. The file after being locked is still fully and clearly displayed but you do not have any permissions to exploit them without File Anti-Copy and password to open the program.

After installing and activating the program for the first time, by default the password to the main working interface of the program will be:

Username: admin

Password: admin

When you can access the main working interface of the program, to lock the file access rights, click on the Add File option and insert the file or folder containing the file to be locked. The selected files will be displayed as a list in the File List option (image 1) for you to monitor and manage. To delete any file in this list, click on the corresponding file and then click the Remove or Clear option to remove all files.

To complete the above steps, click the Setup option to expand the permissions hierarchy for the file. Press the check mark before the options Autostart Anti-Copy and Alpha Anti-Copy All Files. Select finished, click OK to accept.

In order for the program to start taking effect in locking file access rights, before the option Change Anti-Copy Status click on the Active option, finally click OK to start the program.

In addition, to enhance security features for locked files, change the account to activate File Anti-Copy by clicking Account option and then enter the new Username and Password, click OK to accept . When you want to return to the "initial working status" for the key file, access the program again, at the option Change Anti-Copy Status select Inactive.

Once you have locked the file, others will not be able to read the data inside. Using copy / move commands is also not possible even if you use specialized software to copy data, even if you cannot delete the file.

The program still has a small error that the Copy / Paste command that you still use often with the shortcut Ctrl + C / Ctrl + V will not work. To make copies of files not locked, you can use the Copy To or Move To command on the Windows Explore work menu; or use file management programs like NC, Totalcmd .

* Note : When you want to remove the program from the system, click the Clear option to delete the files in the list, select the Inactive option then Uninstall the program. After uninstalling, go to Start menu> Run, type Msconfig command. In the window that appears, click on the Startup tab, in the drop-down list, uncheck the check box before the nocopy option and click OK to accept. If these steps are not fully implemented, after removing the program the files on the list will always be locked without any way to recover.
