Volcanoes help scientists decipher the inner workings of our planet and how eruptions form life on Earth's surface. Each time a volcano erupted, it was a fiery display of the power of the earth.

Nothing represents the power of the earth more than an erupting volcano, it is like rivers of volcano swept with molten rock and billowing ashes.

These erupting peaks can be found all over the world. The eruption of volcanoes helped to create the earth's surface, carved craters, piled up on the peaks of cold lava flows with desolate landscapes. As we all know, volcanoes helped shape life. Each eruption dredged nutrients from deep underground, covered the rocks with fertile soil and promoted life around the globe. However, their explosions are also a serious reminder of the fragility of life, with the power to destroy landscapes in a blink of an eye.

Each mountain erupts in a different way, and these images record their range of activity. By studying volcanic explosions, researchers hope to decipher the past and look into the planet's potential future.

Indonesia's Anak Krakatau volcano is a special volcano that operates every few years. This volcano is the `` son '' of Krakatoa volcano that caused a series of horrific explosions with the power of 10,000 times the US atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, each explosion caused a tsunami. devastating coastal villages that killed more than 37,000 people in 1883. On the night of December 22, 2018, an explosion caused the volcano flank of Anak Krakatau, the son of Krakatau to collapse, causing a tsunami that killed hundreds.(Image: Stocktrek Images, Inc./Alamy).

Mount Etna in Italy is the largest active volcano in Europe and often causes dramatic explosions with molten rocks to circular ashes.Etna volcano, which has just woken up in December 2018, is recognized as the longest volcano on earth, with records of its frequent explosions from 1,500 BC.It is also slowly sliding into the Ionia Sea, raising concerns that the volcano could cause major tsunamis on the nearby Mediterranean coast.(Image: FABRIZIO VILLA, Getty Images).

The Barðarbunga volcano in Iceland is a harsh area, when its central crater is buried under ice, but cracks rise far away from the mountain.Cracks deep in the earth can spew out the largest known giant lava flows on earth in 11,000 years.(Image: BERNARD MERIC, Getty Images).

In 2018, after more than three decades of operation, Hawaii's Kilauea volcano erupted violently with enough lava to fill at least 320,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools. Its lava stream swallowed everything along the way, engulfing part of the Leilani Estates residential area in flames.(Photo: MARIO TAMA, Getty Images).

On June 22, 2019 , Raikokoe volcano erupted, firing a tower of gas and ash towering over the North Pacific. The eruption is so large that astronauts can see it from the International Space Station and capture the image of the spreading cloud.Particles from this eruption spread into the stratosphere, causing light scattering that turned the sunset and dawn into purple.(Photo: NASA).
