The sword Kris in the 18th century.
"I took a boat to drop the net one night. When I pulled the net up, I saw the sword there. I was quite surprised because it was rare to catch such things. I took it to the museum immediately because it would be good. more if the experts could check it and find out about it. I really wanted to know how it fell into the Towy River , " Davies said.
Gavin Evans, the manager of the Carmarthenshire Museum, said he sent a picture of the sword to the museum in London but has not yet received a reply.
"I have not received any information from the museum but the sword is of Asian origin, in Southeast Asia, Malaysia. At first I thought it might be a Roman sword but this is a Kris sword and a blade of style. The wooden sword seems to be attached to a bird's bone shape and there is a copper material attached to it. The sword lies under the mud when it is caught in the net and that's why it doesn't wear out. , it will start to fail more , " Evans said.
According to Evans, the sword could fall into the Towy River due to falling from a ship or a weapon thrown into the river from time immemorial.
