Should the stomach be hungry or eat well before going to bed?
If you are too hungry, you can eat a snack before you go to bed but be careful not to absorb more than 200 calories.
Everyone must have experienced hunger before going to bed without knowing whether to eat more or so on the bed. The question is, in this situation, what should we do best?
If you are too hungry, you can eat foods like popcorn.
"It is ideal to go to bed without being too hungry and not too full , " New York-based dietitian Lisa Moskovitz told Men's Health. In fact, being too hungry makes it hard for you to sleep and eating at night just before bed, leading to a range of problems including indigestion, bloating, lack of sleep, reduced energy, fatigue and even weight gain.
To find the right solution, dietitian Moskovitz advises you to evaluate the body condition on a scale from one to ten, in which one is full and ten is very hungry.
If you find yourself at six or higher, you should eat light and make sure your food intake is below 200 calories. You can choose products from whole grains or popcorn. Note to stay away from high-protein, fat foods because they take a long time to digest and will disrupt sleep.
If your hunger is five or below, drink hot water or tea."For most people, the need to eat at night does not come from hunger but from boredom or stress," Ms Moskovitz said.
