Siemens spent 3.5 billion USD to buy UGS
Siemens (Germany) has just spent $ 3.4 billion to buy UGS's software company (USA) to enhance automation for its factories.

UGS was once owned by 3 companies Bain Capital, Silver Lake Partners and Warburg Pincus. All three companies have bought UGS from the service provider Electronic Data Systems in March 2004 for $ 2.05 billion.
