Smoking causes baldness

Those who smoke more than 20 drugs per day will be at risk of baldness twice as high as non-smokers. And even this risk remains even when the person quit smoking.

Scientists studied 740 Taiwanese men with an average age of 65 and found that tobacco could accelerate baldness. Baldness in men who lose their hair gene structure now affects about 7.4 million British men.

The age at which hair loss begins, family history and other risk factors affecting hair loss and smoking habits are what scientists learn. Asian men are less likely to be bald than other white men who are partially affected by sex hormones.

The results also show a link between smoking habits and hair loss because heavy drug users are mostly bald, although there is no family history of baldness. Those who smoke more than 20 drugs per day will be at risk of baldness twice as high as non-smokers. And even this risk remains even when the person quit smoking.

Researchers recommend smoking can damage the hair structure of hair follicles, very small structures that help hair grow . At the same time, tobacco can damage cells from the root needed for blood circulation and hormones.

This condition is progressing slowly, typically with the appearance of a small patch of hair loss on the top of the head and thinning towards the temples.

Although baldness can occur at any time, many men have found that they have a lot of hair loss at the age of 30. This condition also has a genetic factor, but a strong influence from the mother. That means if a man's grandfather is bald, the likelihood of him falling into the same situation is inevitable.
