To show respect or honor of the contributions of famous figures, researchers named some species after President Bush, singer Shakira or actress Angela Jolie.

Agathidium bushi is a species of beetle belonging to the family Leiodidae.It was named after the entomologist Kelly Miller and Quentin D. Wheeler after the former US President George W. Bush.Two other species are Agathidium cheneyi and Agathidium rumsfeldi, named after former Vice President Dick Cheney and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.According to the two researchers, this naming shows their respect for important government figures.
