Korean scientists are planning to invent robots to serve in the military and the police.

A trial has just been conducted to look at the technical and budgetary implications of this project. With the approval of the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Defense, the project will be launched by the end of 2007. The estimated $ 34 million will come from the national budget.

As explained by Sang-rok Oh, Project Manager, has now invented two types of robots.

Police robots are used to replace police officers who patrol night time and have the ability to track offenders.

This robot has the shape of a moving animal with 6 wheels, but it can also be with 8 wheels. It is controlled by the remote control system or by the "artificial brain".

To minimize costs, scientists place much emphasis on how to remotely control parts in the robot body, while the outer parts are deployed using hardware and software.

Apart from security and defense purposes, the scientists also hope that the robots with these advanced techniques will be paid attention by private buyers to their use for personal use.

Maybe by the end of this year, scientists will come up with a model of robots driven by hardware and software that can help with things like cleaning the dust, babysitting, mechanics or housekeeping. ...

The cost of each home appliance is estimated at 1-2 million won (800-1,600 euros). This price is certainly cheaper than many Japanese-made robots. It is estimated that about 3,000 household robots will be sold in the Korean market by the end of this year.

According to Wolfram Burgard, a robot expert at the University of Freiburg in Germany, we are standing between the boundaries of the commercial and technical market.

In the field of safety, robots are a very effective solution, for example, used in alarm systems, or to carry out dangerous work on behalf of the person.
