Designing AI aircraft without pilots
Embraer's AI passenger plane is designed to fly fully autonomously and without a cockpit like a conventional plane.
The design of a fully autonomous private jet unveiled by aerospace company Embraer represents a breakthrough in the future, according to Sun. The company has partnered with Bombardier to provide a vision of a business jet piloted by artificial intelligence. At a National Business Aviation Association event in Orlando, Florida, Embraer announced plans to produce a mid-range AI aircraft.

The new aircraft features a three-zone cabin with spacious seating and touch-screen windows. It is also designed to run entirely on sustainable fuel. The engines are stacked rather than wing-mounted and have three air intakes, one at the top of the fuselage and two on either side. The aircraft also features a V-tail never before seen on a business jet and an engine configuration with two turbofans in the tail.
" The design is a fully autonomous aircraft, without a cockpit and with a new cabin configuration such as a forward lounge. Sustainability is at the core of the aircraft with a green technology propulsion system based on SAF fuel, electrification and hydrogen , " Embraer shared. However, Embraer did not disclose plans for the development and production of the aircraft.
Several other aviation companies are also developing vehicles similar to Embrear's AI business jet, including Cirrus and HondaJet, which provide autonomous flight capabilities in an emergency if the pilot has trouble landing the plane.
