Staring in the eye after an electric shock

The eyes of a man appear as if the star has a electric shock.

After a shocking 14,000 volt power supply in the shoulder, a 42-year-old man in California, USA, was affected by his vision and limited vision.

Live Science said that, four weeks after the accident, the man had an eye exam and discovered multicolored star-like veins that formed on both sides of the eye.

According to Dr. Bobby Korn of the University of California, a strong power source affects the optic nerves, a nerve that connects the human eye and the brain, affecting the patient's eyesight. However, doctors and experts say the cause of the "star in the eye" phenomenon has not been clearly explained.

After surgery and treatment, the stars in this man's eyes disappeared. Despite this, his eyesight did not improve and he had to resort to support facilities.

In animals, damage to the eyes caused by electric shock creates small bubbles before gathering and forming stellar veins in the eyes.
