- In the next week, the Northern provinces will be affected by the northeast monsoon but the intensity is not strong. We forecast this northeast monsoon will affect mainly the provinces of the Northeast region, part of the North Central region including Thanh Hoa and Nghe An.

When the northeast monsoon occurs, the average temperature in this area will be reduced to about 23-24 O C. The mountainous provinces like Lang Son, Cao Bang and Ha Giang may lower the temperature to level 14-15 o C. Hanoi area has the lowest temperature around 18-20 o C. There may also be thunderstorms in mountainous provinces.

* Last week there was always fog in the early morning and the weather of the day was also lower than before, why sir?

- Fog occurs due to the southeast wind from the sea blowing in with moisture, combined with the heat radiation process of the ground causing mist in the morning. Last week, fog appeared mainly in coastal provinces such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh and some neighboring provinces such as Hai Duong, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, and Ha Tay. We expect this fog to last until November 27. Of course, when the fog appears, the morning is usually cold but not to indicate that the prolonged cold period begins.

Last week we could also see the fog usually melting when the sun appeared. Therefore, the recent mist is only a normal phenomenon and does not cause much influence due to the thin, not thick fog. Normally, fog in February and March can affect crops and traffic because the mist is then combined with drizzle.
