Scientists have not found the parasite harmful to humans in these coldwater fish species in Lam Dong.

In addition, the research team also discovered three groups of diseases including hemorrhage, sores; gynecological diseases and fin rot, tail-wear; are bacteria caused by cold water fish in Lam Dong.

The Aquaculture Research Institute 3 encourages farmers to take measures such as bathing with old oxygen water, or salt water to treat diseases caused by parasites and fungi on sturgeon and salmon; cleaning ponds every farming season; raise fish with appropriate density.

Cold water fish farming in Lam Dong in particular and the country in general is totally dependent on importing breeds and eggs from abroad, this may be a pathway to bring strange pathogens into Vietnam.

Lam Dong currently has 35 units, organizations and individuals that have been granted investment agreements by the province or granted certificates of investment in coldwater fish development, with a total registered area of 3,072ha, including cold water fish farming areas is 376ha.
