Sumatra again had a strong earthquake
On September 20, a strong earthquake shook many parts of Sumatra island of Indonesia. There is no information about damage or casualties.

The magnitude 6.7 earthquake occurred at 15:31 local time, the epicenter was 75km deep in the sea, 126km southwest of Painan town (in West Sumatra province).
According to Yusuf, an official at the Indonesian Bureau of Meteorological and Geophysical Affairs in Jakarta, tremors were felt in many cities along the west coast of Sumatra, but there was no risk of tsunami.
This latest earthquake occurred just a week after the magnitude 8.4 earthquake caused tsunamis in Sumatra, killing at least 23 people and causing more than 60 strong aftershocks, including strong aftershocks of 7, 8 and 7.1 richter.
