In fact, normal waterproof cotton fabrics will easily lose this characteristic after several washings and become somewhat uncomfortable. The new fabric looks almost like normal cotton fabric but is completely waterproof and retains its properties after hundreds of washes, under normal conditions.

Scientists have used the method of grafting a monomer called acrylate, which has been chemically treated with fluorine, which is used commercially in cotton fibers irradiated with gamma rays to create a coincidence. In this process, cotton fibers form covalent bonds with polymers and polymers that cover not only cotton fibers but also prevent water from sticking to the fabric surface.

At the same time, it can cause water to roll into droplets that pull dirt and dust away from the fabric surface. Grafting polymers into cotton fibers also helps to keep small holes in the fabric in order to be more breathable and smooth than regular cotton fibers
