Symantec 'doting'?

Picture 1 of Symantec 'doting'? Due to an error in the upgrade that caused the Symantec antivirus security application to notify Zlob trojan detection in Nullsoft Scriptable Install System (NSIS) software.

Symantec currently has no official comment about this incident.

The cause of the above "mistake" is due to a bug in Symantec's virus recognition upgrade released on July 1. However, until July 3, this error has been fixed.

This error caused Symantec to remove or quarantine files suspected of Zlob trojan infection. Only the NSIS version 2.17 is subject to damage by Symantec's "doting".

Nullsoft Scriptable Install System is a standard solution that allows software developers to install their software on any system. Many applications such as the WinAmp multi-media application, Kaspersky antivirus security application . use this solution.

This is not the first time Symantec has identified NSIS as a malicious software. This is the fourth time Symantec has mistakenly identified NSIS.
