After analyzing the Itokawa asteroid dust sample sent by the Hayabusa spacecraft, Japan, Japanese astronomers discovered many interesting information.

After many failed attempts to land on this asteroid surface, Hayabusa finally landed and collected 15,000 small dust particles in 2005.

The Japan Space Exploration Agency (JAXA) will launch a spacecraft to a meteorite next year to sample soil and rock.
