shiveluch volcano

A volcano in the Far East of Russia erupted violently, rising up the smoke columns higher than 11km, raising the danger warning level for aviation operations.

The Shiveluch volcano, over 3,200 meters tall, increased its activity from May 2009. Previous volcanic ash eruptions of this volcano are usually 3,000-10,000 meters high.
