Taste of sensitive women than men?

Girls always have a better taste than boys. Up to one-third of school-age children like soft drinks without sugar. Children and young people love to eat fish and never think they are picky people in eating. Almost boys eat sweeter than girls. Adolescents have very different tastes. And in Northern Denmark, children have the most sensitive taste areas.

The findings in the world's largest study of the taste buds of children and adolescents and what they like best have been published. This study was conducted in collaboration between Danish scientific research organization, food research scientists from the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Copenhagen and with the participation of 8,900 students.

In November, for the first time, there were 8,900 students across Denmark participating in this experiment of sensing taste in children and finding out what they like best.

One of the reasons why so many children and teenagers participated in this study is because the experiment was done in an informal way: It was originally planned as 'commodity experiment'. series' coincides with the Natural Science festival at primary and secondary schools in Denmark.

All groups of students who participate are given samples to try and have detailed instructions and experiments done as part of their Natural Science course. Various tests have been done to know the ability of children and adolescents to know the sour and sweet taste at different levels, thereby mixing the sweet or sour taste to the taste of they, and know how many taste cells they have; Finally, they focus on answering questions related to their habits and pickiness when eating.

Both students and teachers took part in the experiment very seriously: 'It is surprising that almost all the results are very clear and of high quality,' said Bodil Allesen-Holm, MSc. From Technology and Food Science, he is both a project manager and a laboratory director at the Food Science department at LIFE. 'The trends are very clear in all the answers from elementary schools to secondary schools, students and teachers are very meticulous and accurate.'

If the industry does better, parents can do more experiments

According to Bodil Allesen-Holm, the research results had to make the food industry and parents think: 'Children and adolescents have very good tastes , and moreover, there are change their tastes more than people think. '

For example there is a striking difference between men and women, and the ability of children to recognize all tastes varies with age. So a business can produce and develop a variety of food and fast foods for children and adolescents. Specifically, children are not always just like sweets. According to new findings, healthy fast foods can be developed more for boys with less sour taste.

'This experiment only focuses on taste, while other future studies will also include other senses such as smell and demeanor to get an overview of Danish children's preferences,' Mr. Wender Bredie, Professor of Sensory Science at the Faculty of Food Science at LIFE commented.

Women are always more sensitive than men.

One of the recent findings shows that women are better than men . They can also recognize better in areas with both sweetness and sour taste. The difference here is not too complicated but very clear. And it shows the fact that women have a better taste than men.

"We have asked our students to count taste cells or taste organs on their tongue," said Michael Bom Frøst, associate professor of food science at LIFE . However, this experiment showed that both men and women had the same number of taste cells. So the difference here is only because of how they feel about it. '

According to recent data, men need an average of about 10% of the sour taste and about 20% of the sweetness to be able to identify them.

For every three students, there is only one student who likes it and does not eat sweets.

Surprisingly, up to 30% of students prefer non-sugar or low sugar foods. 'This is very new news. On the other hand, drinks for children and adolescents do not always contain sugar, ' Bodil Allesen-Holm said.

On the other hand, up to 48% of students do not have enough: They have very sensitive points to the sweetness of the substances. 'It may be because many students are accustomed to drinking this soft drink and eating sweets'

Men often like strong taste while women like gentle taste

It's funny that while women often like tastes that aren't too strong, men like stronger tastes. Men also have a habit of eating sweeter than women - most men prefer sweet sugary drinks. And most men also have sensitivity to sour foods.

Yes, I like fish!

This study shows that when you ask children about their hobbies and hobbies, they really like fish, and up to 70% of children say they like fish. And you can safely give them their favorite food because up to 59% of students do not consider them to be fastidious and it is true for both men and women.

A bold and exciting world for teenagers.

The study demonstrates that a child's taste buds change in a suspicious way: The ability to identify people increases with age, and the most changes in the age of 13-14 when children become more sensitive with sour taste.
.
At that time, their preference for sweeteners began to subside. And many people claim that they are not picky eaters. Past studies have shown that children who like pickles do not tend to be picky like kids who do not like sour foods. Children who like sour taste are also easier to eat and try new foods.

Students in the taste contest in North Jutland.
.
Students from northern Jutland have better taste than those from Denmark. The figures given are very clear. Most children and adolescents need 0.5g of citric acid per liter of water to identify the sour taste, children in North Jutland need no more than 0.37g. This is a big difference.

Children in North Jutland are also capable of recognizing sweet taste very well, although children from Jutland and Copenhagen centers are on par with them.
