As the climate change is getting more and more worrisome, the Virgin Group is preparing to test clean, first biofuels for aircraft, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to environmental Protection.
On October 15, British billionaire Richard Branson, Virgin Group chairman, said his group will first test jet biofuels in early 2008.

Currently, the airline's Virgin Atlantic is preparing to carry out the above test for Virgin Atlantic 747 aircraft, in partnership with Boeing Co. and GE Aviation engine manufacturer of General Electric Co.
Branson said: 'Early next year, we will make a flight without passengers, which will use one of the clean biofuels we are making.'
Virgin Atlantic director Paul Charles said: 'Biofuels are really useful in limiting climate change, because it produces less emissions, less carbon and less. CO 2 gas more. That will help protect the environment both on the ground and in the air. '
He said: 'If you produce less greenhouse gas emissions, then you are clearly contributing to the fresh air for the community'.
According to energy experts, biofuels will produce less greenhouse gases, because they are made from plants - like corn and soybeans - capable of absorbing CO2, The main factor keeps the heat in the atmosphere, causing the temperature of the Earth to rise.
Previously, Air New Zealand plans to test bio-fuel in conjunction with kerosene at the end of 2008, but Virgin decided to "outdo" it by testing early next year.

In the context of increasing global climate change, biofuel production, mainly ethanol and biodiesel, is being seen as a necessary solution to curb that change.
On the other hand, biofuel also contributes to energy safety, because it is the best alternative to fossil fuels, natural resources that contain hydrogen carbon, such as coal and petroleum. and natural gas - in which coal is the cheapest fuel but also causes the worst environmental pollution.
Last year, Mr Branson pledged to use all of his first 10-year profits from Virgin's share (51%) in overcoming the warming of the Earth's climate. According to his commitment, he founded Virgin Fuels, which is investing $ 400 million over the next three years to make renewable energy supply projects a reality.
The British billionaire said Virgin Fuels will provide clean biofuels for aircraft, buses, trains and cars in the next three to four years.
