Thailand propagates bird flu at home

The Thai Ministry of Health is conducting a campaign to propagate avian influenza to every household across the country, from 23 to 31 August.

More than 800,000 volunteers will educate people on how to prevent the H5N1 virus and prevent the spread of bird flu.

They will bring many propaganda materials such as posters, leaflets . with messages focusing on home hygiene measures, especially when exposed to poultry.

In the first phase, the campaign focused on areas at risk in 30 provinces where outbreaks occurred. In addition, the government also deployed modern mobile laboratories, resulting in only four hours, which can diagnose many diseases, including bird flu, hand, foot and mouth disease and dengue fever. These laboratories will operate in Phichit province, Bangkok capital and some rural areas.

Meanwhile, on August 23, the World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed the 60th bird flu case in Indonesia, a six-year-old girl from Bekasi, West Java province, hospitalized on August 11. . Of the 60 people who tested positive for H5N1 in Indonesia, 46 died.
