The 2012 Nobel Prize for Literature is about to have an owner

After three Nobel Prizes for Medicine, Physics and Chemistry, the Nobel Prize for Literature will be announced today by the Swedish Academy of Sciences (October 11).

On Ladbrokes - a prediction bet site about the owner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, the most highly anticipated writers include: Hungarian Peter Nadas, Irishman Ireland Trevor and Chinese writer Macao (Mo Yan). Japanese writer Haruki Murakami continues to top the list of bet rates this week.

Two Canadian writers, Alice Munro and Margaret Atwood, are also on the list.

4 out of 5 Nobel Prize for Literature in recent years belong to European authors.

Last year the winner was Swedish poet Tomas Transtromer.

Like other Nobel prizes, this year's Nobel Prize in Literature is worth about 1.2 million USD.
