The badge of the first person to the Moon is unbelievably high

It is hard to believe that Neil Armstrong's medal in the Apollo 11 campaign in 1969 was sold at such a high price.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first human arrival on the Moon (July 20, 1969), many memorabilia related to the historical milestone were auctioned by collectors.

One of them was Neil Armstrong's gold medal , the first to set foot on the Moon during the Apollo 11 campaign 50 years ago. He flew with him from the Earth to the Moon and returned to his homeland during the Apollo 11 mission.

Certainly a souvenir that traveled to the Moon was not cheap, but when the auction ended, no one could imagine Armstrong's medal price was so high: $ 2,055,000 (nearly 48 billions dong).

In addition to accompanying the crew during the Apollo 11 campaign, this was also the first version of the Apollo 11 badge, an interesting part of the history of the US Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA).

According to the auction organizer, only 3 such gold medals exist. Armstrong's medal is extremely special because it follows the first person to set foot on the Moon. The image engraved on the medal is the Apollo 11 campaign logo with an eagle image. In English, " Eagle" means " Eagle" , which is also the name of the ship landing on the Moon during the mission.

It seems that the public's interest in this historic event has caused the price of souvenirs to be pushed up high.
