The human body produces cortisol when we experience psychological stress or physical fatigue. Cortisol produces a positive effect on low concentrations, such as increasing alertness and improving health. However, if the cortisol levels rise too high, the body will be at risk of diabetes, heart disease, impotence, high blood pressure and many other diseases.

Telegraph said, scientists from the University of Valencia, Italy recruited 84 male students to perform an experiment. They asked volunteers to sit in each room individually and solve a crossword puzzle. Then two strangers - one male and one charming girl - entered the room.

When the girl left the room the volunteer's stress level did not change. However, when the man comes out and the girl stays, the concentration of cortisol in male students increases, which means increased stress levels.

The research team believes that every time young and beautiful women come into contact, most men desire to conquer or at least build long-term relationships. Of course, part of men want to avoid sexy women if they are not in their 'reach'.

'Our test demonstrated that male cortisol levels increased after they were exposed to young, beautiful women for 5 minutes or more,' the team concluded.
