On November 2, WWF Vietnam awarded the "Green Office" certificate to the British Embassy in Hanoi, the British Consulate General and the UK Department for International Development in Vietnam (DFID Vietnam).

According to Mr. Mark Kent, the British ambassador in Vietnam, UK agencies in Vietnam choose to deal with macro issues such as global warming by starting from the smallest efforts. The Green Office campaign has helped the country's agencies make a big difference.

"At the embassy, ​​we even launched Friday on no office attire, people dressed in t-shirts and jeans to work (to minimize sweating and use air conditioning). However, the greening of the office is also an interesting thing , ' the Ambassador added.

DFID Vietnam has saved 16% of electricity consumption by reminding employees to turn off lights and electrical equipment when not in use and installing automatic motion induction system to turn on and off lights in the office .

WWF Vietnam hopes embassies, organizations, businesses and government organizations to join the Embassy, ​​Consulate General and DFID Vietnam to become members of the Literature program. green room.
