In the provinces of the Northern Midlands, the flow and normal water level fluctuate at 2-2.5m, but due to the progress of construction of sluice gates in the Bac Hung Hai irrigation system, the flow flows through the canal. leading small streams, affecting irrigation of the localities of Bac Ninh, Hai Duong and Hung Yen, leading to a shortage of irrigation water.

In the Mekong Delta provinces, due to the impact of saline intrusion, in the provinces of Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau, the irrigation water collection in many areas is affected locally.

In response to this situation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has directed the localities where irrigation systems are affected by the heat and tend to run out of water at the end of the Winter-Spring crop, to focus on implementation. all solutions to repair sewers, reinstall and install pump stations and pump many times, supply water for remote, high and end areas and organize fresh water trucks to remote areas In particular, the area affected by saline water to have fresh water supply for people, avoiding private use to force prices to push up the price of fresh water.
