The Earth has just escaped from a big storm

Instead of causing a strong storm from all over the planet, the strongest solar wind in the last 4 years only created storms from a small part in the northern hemisphere.

A giant mass of charged particles moves toward Earth at a speed of 900 km / sec after a dark area on the sun spews very strong ultraviolet radiation on February 15.

AFP quoted Dean Persnell, a scientist from the US Aerospace Agency (NASA), saying that the solar wind can cause a storm from large when charged particles come into contact with the Earth's magnetic field. . Magnetic storms can interfere with radio waves, hinder the operation of global positioning satellites and may even cause power outages.

In fact, the solar wind on February 15 flew near the north pole, creating an aurora and paralyzing some of the world's telecommunications systems. The China Meteorological Agency announced that the solar wind caused "sudden disturbance in the upper ionosphere" above China and short radio interference in the south. Meanwhile, the British Geology Department has confirmed that three solar winds are advancing to Earth and they create a strong aura in the Arctic from February 17.

The US space forecasting agency warns that disruption of communications in China is just the beginning of a terrible storm. But Persnell said the situation was not so serious, because the giant stream of particles escaping from the sun on February 15 did not hit the earth, but just flew by.

' In this case, it looks like it will surround the earth, not directly attack ,' he said.

Persnell predicts that northernmost countries, such as Norway and Canada, will suffer from the effects of storms in the coming days.
