The 'enemy' of the pyramid is about to show up

A German artist has just announced the project to build the largest artificial structure in human history called Mastaba, in an effort to help Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) compete with the pyramids of Egypt.

Christo's new project in the desert near Abu Dhabi promises to overshadow all of his previous work with his late wife Jeanne-Claude, from the 'package' of the German parliament building Reichstag to gold parachute along the road. California highways (USA).

The artificial pyramid will be 150 meters tall, slightly above Giza's large pyramid and three times higher than Nelson's monument in Trafalgar Square (London, England).

Mastaba will symbolize Abu Dhabi, just as Egypt has pyramids and Paris has the Eiffel Tower.

Christo and his late wife Jeanne-Claude have drawn the scenario 30 years ago, after being mesmerized by colorful sand hills. However, this work has been postponed for many years due to regional conflicts.

The Bulgarian-born artist, 74, is collaborating with Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed al-Nayhan Prince in this new project.

The Mastaba project will take about 30 months, with hundreds of workers. A German company has been tasked with providing colorful empty oil barrels.
