The first time an eco robot appeared in the Robocon competition

Bio-robots do not have a self-moving mechanism that works indirectly thanks to the force exerted by wind, magnetism . from automatic robots.

From 9/5 to 14/5, the final round of the 2016 Robocon competition with the theme of Clean energy search is held in Ninh Binh with the competition of 32 teams. In each game, teams will have to let the robot climb over the Peak, Hill, and Slide down the zigzag River and rebuild at the Wind Turbine Station to install the propeller.

This year Robocon has a new technological factor when the team will first use Eco Robot, also known as Eco Robot. Eco Robot does not have a mechanism for self-movement but works indirectly thanks to the force of action from Hybrid Robot (automatic or semi-automatic robot) such as by wind, magnetism or based on the slope of the game field. Each team will have an Eco Robot and a Hybrid Robot.

The champion team will represent Vietnam to participate in the 2016 Asia-Pacific Robot Innovation Contest.

32 teams from this year come from many schools such as Lac Hong University, Ha Tinh Technology Vocational College, Hanoi Electromechanical Vocational College, Hung Yen University of Technical Education, Hanoi University of Industry, and University Transport in Hanoi ., however, there is no "big-name" teams like Hanoi University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic, Da Nang Polytechnic, Military Technical Academy. The champion team will represent Vietnam to participate in the 2016 Asia-Pacific Robot Innovation Contest held in Thailand next August.

At the Robocon 2015 contest, the Hungyen Techedu Robocon team (Hung Yen University of Technical Education) represents Vietnam, defeating the FR1 team of Hong Kong (China) with a ratio of 5 - 1, bringing home the championship. in the ABU Robocon 2015 competition in Indonesia.

This is the 15th year of the Asia-Pacific Robot Innovation Contest (Robocon for short), organized for university students and technical college students in the region. In 2002, Robocon was first held in Tokyo (Japan) with the championship belonging to the Telematic team of Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic University. Through 14 times of participation, Vietnam has 5 championships, China 5 times, Japan 2 times and Thailand 2 times.
