The total construction project of urban railway No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) has a length of 19.7 km, including 2.6 km underground and 17.1 km high with 14 stations. Of which, 3 underground stations and 11 elevated stations. Particularly, Ho Chi Minh City Station together with Ba Son Station is one of the two underground stations of the package CP1b also belonging to metro line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) with a surface of 190 m long, 26 m wide, including 4 floors.
B1 floor includes lobby, ticket machines, automatic toll gates . and information guide for passengers. Floors B2 and B4 are used as the platform where the train stops and stops to pick up and drop off passengers. Level B3 is the equipment floor for station staff, disaster control center, rest area and electrical equipment rooms, air conditioners and ventilation systems, electromechanical rooms (sewage pumping system) ), ventilation ducts of the terminal.

Le Thanh Le, Construction Manager of CP1b package, said that up to now, the structure of the City Theater has reached about 99%, the perfection reaches 70 to 80%. Basements B1 and B3 are basically completed, basements B2 and B4 are performing electrical work, brick and wall installation.
