The heaviest pumpkin in the world

Pumpkin with a weight of about 1 ton of a citizen from the state of Rhode Island, USA, has just broken the world record.

The owner of the pumpkin is Ron Wallace. He brought it to the Topsfield Fair, northeastern Massachusetts, USA last Friday and set a record, AP reported.

The pumpkin helps Ron Wallace to own $ 5,500 with the biggest pumpkin prize and $ 10,000 for the pumpkin prize to break the 1-ton mark.

Earlier, on September 27, Steve Geddes came from Boscawen, New Hampshire, to record a record of 829kg pumpkin at Deerfield Fair in Deerfield, also in Massachusetts.

In October 2010, 815kg pumpkin by Chris Stevens in New Richmond, Wisconsin was recognized by the Guinness World Records organization as the world's heaviest in Stillwater, Minnesota, USA.
