The houses from Caltech have created a new illusion '' tricking the brain you see is not really there.

This illusion, called the Rabbit's Illusion , reveals how your senses can interact with each other - especially how sound can make visual illusions appear.

To test the hallucination yourself, make sure you are wearing a headset, and then click on the video.

It requires you to focus on the horizontal bar at the top of the screen, while observing the light rays near the bottom of the screen.

You are then asked how many rays of light appear.

Most viewers have the ability to say that they see three rays of light, but in fact, only two rays of light appear.

That's because they hear three beeps, tricking your brain into seeing three rays of light.

This shows that sound can stimulate a visual illusion - can provide clues about how the brain combines senses.

This illusion is called a rabbit illusion.

Dr. Noelle Stiles, the lead author of the study, said: ' These hallucinations are among the very rare cases in which sound affects vision, not vice versa, indicating the dynamic aspects of Neurological processing occurs through space and time.
