Bryde whale is one of the largest ocean creatures. Adult Bryde whales can be up to 16.5m long, weigh up to 40 tons. However, they are also one of the least known species today.

Recently, wildlife photographer SeaPics, has dived into the sea and found a way to approach this species to record "choking" pictures of them.

The picture was taken in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Mexico. One of the photos shows a diver right above this giant creature. Another photo captures a Bryde whale swimming in thousands of fish.

According to Mirror, these photos, as well as the "reunion" of divers with Bryde whale, are extremely rare because the animal is on the verge of extinction.

The Bryde whale is the only large whale that spends all of its time in tropical or subtropical near-equatorial waters. When mature, they can be up to 16.5m long, weigh up to 40 tons. They eat plankton, crustaceans and small fish.

This species was named after Johan Bryde, who helped build the first whale factory in Durban, South Africa in 1909.

Earlier this month, the US National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) proposed putting Bryde whales into the "endangered species" group , fearing that they are facing a high risk of extinction: they are polluted, the noise is from oil and gas exploitation as well as other types of noise . threatening.

They are also hunted by Japanese whaling vessels in the North Pacific, according to the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Organization.

Scientists now know relatively little about Bryde whales. They are not even sure if they are the only species or if there is a branch.
