The mantis unleashed its 'killer' blow, knocking the wasps in a snap

Wasps are a terror to many insects but at least not to mantises.

A video posted by the Daily Mail records an unequal confrontation between a European mantis and a wasp.

In the video, when the wasp did not understand what was happening, the mantis quickly rushed forward, used its front legs to control the opponent before biting off and chewing the entire head of the opponent.

The favorite foods of European mantis are beetles, grasshoppers and crickets. But sometimes they also attack wasps and honeybees.

This video was recorded a few years ago but was reshared recently after it appeared to show that wasps are increasing in the US.

Wasps , also known as "killer bees, " are capable of wiping out common colonies in a matter of hours, killing a bee in 14 seconds.

The proboscis section of the nerve is long and strong enough to penetrate bee-protecting protective gear. According to studies, the venom of this bee can cause serious allergies and multi-organ failure, leading to death.

In Japan, wasps kill the lives of 50 people a year.

The wasp, who did not understand what was happening, was torn to shreds by the European mantis.

According to the New York Times, in Washington state, some beekeepers discovered traces of this killer bee from December 2019 near Blaine and Bellingham.

A Washington beekeeper said that thousands of his honey bees had been ripped off by the wasps.

Entomologists warn that if they do not destroy them in time, the wasps could eradicate many bee populations in North America.
