This initiative was initiated by French researcher Pierre-François Louvigné in 2003 and is characterized by an insect mediated by the Silmach Company.

" The goal is to develop insect-based nano-systems ," explains Louvigné.

The French Defense Agency (DGA) hopes in the 2020s, future infantrymen nicknamed ' Felin ' will be armed with a ' dragonfly ' group in their pockets. He will be able to deploy troops everywhere and these mini-reconnaissance aircraft will silently enter the enemy's area, film and send valuable information.
