As travel becomes more restricted during the pandemic and social distancing rules must be observed, the majority of people around the world are mainly living and working from home. Accordingly, engineers also come up with many innovative solutions to turn homes and workspaces into mobile versions.

Encho Enchev, 3D designer from Encho Enchev introduces the concept of a futuristic mobile home, which can move on any terrain with the support of 6 mechanical legs and stop at the desired location. According to Enchev, his design inspiration comes from the increasingly popular practice of remote work and a love of mountains and lakes. Enchev found that many people wanted to leave the city to move to an area that was sparsely populated and close to nature, but lacked amenities and struggled with the rough terrain.

In addition to focusing on the two most important elements of functionality and practicality when designing a home, Enchev also paid attention to weight and energy. The mobile home is powered by an electric motor but is also equipped with a backup diesel generator in case of failure.

The house has a boxy frame set on six tripods, looking like a design from a sci-fi movie. It can go over almost any terrain including steep hills and canyons. The mechanical feet have a 5cm thick anti-slip rubber layer and two sharp spikes underneath that easily cling to the ground. Mobile homes can be grounded, raised, lowered or pressed onto the ground.

The interior design of the house includes many high technologies. Mobile home windows use smart glass that can block sunlight when needed. Enchev also uses automated furniture and smart technology equipment. Thanks to the integration of storage space, water tank and energy battery, mobile home allows occupants to live comfortably in remote places. Although still in concept form, Enchev's design will one day become popular in the future.
