The moon is separated from Earth?
Scientists at Harvard University have come up with a new theory that the Moon is separated from the Earth rather than created from a planet by colliding with the Earth.

According to this theory, the Earth turned at a much faster rate at the time the Moon was formed. And one day on Earth only lasts 2-3 hours.
With such a dizzying rotation speed, the Earth can create a giant impact force, which causes the Earth's components to form a Moon. After that, the Earth achieved the current rotational speed thanks to the gravitational interaction between its orbit around the Sun and Moon.
The new theory is proposed on the basis of when scientists find that many of the Moon's components and chemicals resemble Earth.
The study was published in Science, published on October 17, 2012.
